Great article and you're right that it's never to early to start the conversation as girls are developing earlier than ever. I found this bracelet http://www.feby.com was a real help in having the conversation about periods and what to expect and is a great visual tool. My daughters and their friends love them (I gave them instead of loot bags at my 11 year old daughters birthday party and they were a huge hit.)
