I highly recommend the Honda
Mon, Jan 28 2013 at 9:53 PM
I highly recommend the Honda Insight. Several thousand dollars cheaper than the Prius, pretty good cargo space, and fun to drive. I drive in ECO mode 100% of the time and have learned how to drive differently to maximize fuel efficiency. I'm getting an average of 46.1 mpg. Check Fuelly.com for real-life input on actual mpgs. While you're at it, stay away from the Ford C-Max. It's not getting anywhere near what it's supposed to!!
I volunteer at a No-Kill
Sun, Feb 26 2012 at 8:05 PM
I volunteer at a No-Kill Shelter. I agree that they are really tough on potential adopters. But I understand why. Even though I only spend a few hours a week at the shelter, I am often astonished to see a dog or cat, previously adopted, back at the shelter. People have the most ridiculous reasons for bringing them back. Also, the wonderful animals that come in from people who say they're moving to a new apartment where pets aren't allowed. What? You're going to leave your family member behind?
