Though there are a number of anti-aging prescription and over-the-counter treatments on the market, many people prefer to use herbal treatments whenever possible to diminish age spots and the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Herbal treatments often wreak less havoc on the environment and typically cause fewer side effects than prescription drugs. As the population of aging individuals grows, it is becoming more and more important to utilize medical interventions that will not result in environmental contamination.
There are so many beauty products on the market, most of them packaged flamboyantly in plastic containers. Beauty products that you can buy over the counter claim to do everything from getting rid of acne to removing the various signs of aging. Some of these beauty products may work, but a number of them simply don't. People buy them because they wish that they would work. Unfortunately beauty isn't something that happens because you smear a little cream on your face. Beauty and health have a lot to do with each other, especially as people age.
It's no surprise to a lot of people that products that are good for the environment tend to be less toxic to humans. Many shampoos, lotions, foods, laundry detergents, and other products that we take for granted day to day contain substances called xenoestrogens that contribute to hormonal imbalance. Xenoestrogens are synthetic estrogens that can be absorbed through the skin, ingested, or assimilated in other ways into our bodies. These synthetic estrogens add to the natural hormonal milieu in our bodies, throwing things out of whack in some cases.
