I am so sick of this nonsense about "killer cats!'" Yes cats are carnivores that kill to eat. And they kill, overwhelmingly, mice and rats. Rats are a major preditor of birds and their eggs. Less cats= more rats=more birds killed. The cat's hunting drive is balanced by an equally strong inclination to conserve energy by resting and sleeping as much as possible. Well-fed cats hunt far less and many do not hunt at all. People need to get a grip. This issues has been sensationalized. Get a grip and calm down.
