How many volunteers did you have? I'm impressed at how many items you collected! I hope more schools and neighborhoods can do something like that! We have something called freecycle around here, where people can post items online that they want to get rid of, or items that they are looking for. Nothing is sold, (so it does not benefit charity), but it's a great way to implement the first "R" of producing less waste: Reuse

That makes all of my local markets look very small. That must be a fantastic place to be! Let us know if you wake up in time to see it. It must be a great feeling to have a community that appreciates local products enough to come together like that.
Thanks!

It takes a little bit of will-power to really eat everything I buy, but you are exactly right Nicole; It's a lot harder to throw food out if you shook hands with the grower. Let me know how you do!
