We get a few tornadoes every season. They've become so common place growing up with them that I don't treat them as the threat they actually are. I've survived two tornadoes literally passing over my head (one in a ditch at camp as a young girl, and one jumped over our house and hit both our neighbors). I don't have anything special for tornadoes, we just have the plan to grab the dogs and our cell phones and go into our bathroom (the only room in our condo without windows). I think this is most people's plans that don't live directly in tornado alley or Dixie alley.
