I just gave a presentation for my education class at a local University. My topic was to discuss how unhealthy school lunches really are and ways we can improve it. This class is full of future teachers. I was absolutely shocked at the indifference they displayed on the subject. They are relatively young with no children of their own, still wet behind the ears. I supose that might have contributed to the afore mentioned disinterest. As a mother of a four year old, I am scared to death of sending my son off to school. He will pack his lunch every day or be homeschooled.

Finally! Someone has brought the obvious to the surface. A lot of Americans cannot afford to eat healthy. Mine being one of those households. I guess we could get food stamps, but I don't want to depend on my government for food.
A recent disturbing study found that studies are disturbing.
