Stephen I am curious about something. What happens if someone else sticks a pizza box in your garbage can without you knowing?

I do compost my citrus peels by making sure I don't put all of them in at one time but in layers. Nice thing about citrus is it tends to repel cats, some rodents, as well as some types of flies so it a natural pest control for compost while breaking down into nice compost with the others items I place in the composter.

We love love love the clumping bamboo as a wind break as well as the fact we can cut it and use it to make lattice constructions for the big vegetable garden so vinning vegetables grow up rather than spread out. This means we can plant more vegetables in a smaller area. And bamboo lattice makes for great snow barriers as well. Like the fact we can even use it for fuel. And its a grass so its low care pretty much. Back in the 70's I remember a friend whose neighbor had planted the non clumping type and it spread like a grass does and invaded our friends yard. Took months to remove and then expense to built a steel lined three foot deep, three feet wide solid barrier foundation to keep the bamboo out.
