I don't even let my pets have

I don't even let my pets have any access to such items. It's MY responsibility to do so and to keep them safe. But then again, I pay better attention to my pets than some parents do their children. It is NOT the manufacturer's responsibility; it is the parents. Put down the remote and cell phone, get your fanny up off the couch and be the parent!!
