Conflicting opinions and conflicting rights and privileges and is there a happy medium that can be arrived at?

Sadly, though exceptions DO exist.... work hard and you make wealth for others. Work SMART and make wealth for yourself. Basically, employers use you as a tool to make wealth for themselves. That is the "nature of the beast," the economic system we try to exist within. There are plenty of employers who will use you and do all they can to give you as little as possible in return. Sure, some folks do well working for a wage while creating wealth for their employers but the majority of folks working for others merely exist. Some folks employ others by starting a business but that route also has pitfalls. Use the tips in the essay above but do your best to acquire a skill that assists in receiving decent or better pay and tends to assist in receiving an employer's respect. A respected employee with an uncommon skill is in a better position to obtain wealth and a decent working environment. That skill can also be a valuable asset to draw upon of you start your own business. Good luck. It IS a jungle out there.
