Good grief.. lots of craziness. Our bodies are not meant to be herbivore. If that were the case we, like cattle, would have 3 stomachs and flat teeth. But we don't; we have sharp pointy teeth for ripping and tearing flesh in 2/3 of our mouth and flatter teeth in only 1/3 of our mouth. Nor would we produce both acidic and base digestive juices. As to meat causing cancer - I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. I come from a long line of farm families that have eaten a meat and potatoes diet for generations and as with most working farmers, familial longevity is well into the 90's with little or no heart disease. The primary cause of illness in our country is "energy saving devices." I don't mean gas and electricity - I mean YOUR energy. People have become lazy. And working out an hour a day at the gym isn't the same as getting up at dawn and heading out on the farm for a day of labor either. Not only is there a lot to be said for the health benefits of physical labor, if you are fortunate enough to work out of doors and you enjoy your work it also reduces stress, stress hormones, and other chemicals created by our own bodies when we are in situations we don't like.
