(Char)coal for your stocking

Hakutan odor-eating white charcoal isn’t just for the naughty.

Never mind who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. Organic and carbon neutral Hakutan white charcoal absorbs nasties — pollution, unsavory kitchen smells, etc. — from the air like nobodies business.

Sort Of Coal's range of purifying Hakutan products for the home and office can tackle odors both big and small: the Grain Bag is ideal for stinky shoes, drawers, closets, and loos; the small and medium sized stems of charcoal made from organic Korean oak are more apt for larger spaces like kitchens; the White Charcoal Sculpture is for more décor-conscious spaces that need a blast of balanced, pure air; and the Kuro Cube made from compressed white charcoal powder will keep your fridge fresh and sans stink for years. And after white charcoal has served its duty (you can recharge it by setting it in the sun), it makes for a great, earth-friendly gardening element.

The positive Chi-boosting, pollution-, gas-, and odor-absorbing properties of white charcoal may give skeptics pause, so read up on the science of this miracle odor-eater. Hakutan isn’t readily available in the US (sometimes those Europeans have all the luck) but that shouldn’t stop you from checkin’ out Sort of Coal’s webshop.
