It's the time of year everyone drags their old mower out of the garage — usually to find it doesn't work. If you want to be as green as your lawn this year, think human power.

The various gasoline-fired tools we use on landscaping accounts for up to five percent of our total air pollution. So check out the new generation of reel (push) mowers. They're a far cry from the heavy clunkers of the Ozzie and Harriet era. The new Brill Razor Cut is a good example: just 17 pounds, and the blades never need sharpening.
