Some of the gifts you give or get this holiday season will probably come in packaging that induces rage. Shouldn’t a holiday gathering be rage-free — at the very least? When it takes two people, your sharpest scissors, and the knowledge that you may end up with a large gash in your hand to open a gift packaged in a clamshell, there’s a problem.

You may already have the solution to that problem in your home already; in fact, we all may. The manual can opener sitting in a kitchen drawer can be used to open clamshell packaging. I'm sure it depends on the sharpness of the can opener you own, but this is certainly worth a try. There are several videos on YouTube demonstrating how it can be done. This video below gets right to the point.

This could be one the most genius way to use a can opener this holiday season! I know I plan on giving it a try on Christmas morning.
