Welcome to the third installment of "All decked out," a series of posts where I'll be focusing on an area of your home that you'll most likely be spending a good amount of time on over the coming weeks (if you're lucky enough to have one): the deck, patio, lanai, porch, terrace, or what have you. So far I've looked at eco-alternatives to loud and grisly electric bug zappers and a few sustainable decor items to spruce up your outdoor space with. Today, I'm pushing a dozen planters of all shapes, sizes, and price points that are attractive enough for the indoors but also rugged enough to withstand outdoor time on a deck or patio, too. Added bonus: they all boast sustainable attributes whether they're made from recycled army helmets, vintage fruit crates, or are biodegradable.
