Hiber-Nation: Mugs

Now matter what you fill it with — organic coffee, fair trade tea or 'adult' hot cider — the ceramic mug is a wintertime must-have.

Welcome to week four of "Hiber-Nation," a new series of posts featuring home accessories and other odds-and-ends that will help make housebound-in-the-winter life a bit more enjoyable.

So far for "Hiber-Nation," I've featured green home-themed books ideal for snuggling up with on a cold winter's day, cozy house slippers made from earth-friendly materials, and stylish coat racks to hang disorganized piles of outerwear from. Today it's all about the humble coffee mug. Sure, you can fill your cupboards with cheap, generic mugs but why not opt for quality over quantity? Below, you'll find eight ceramic mugs to keep close by your side at home this winter. All are handmade, most in the USA.
