Invasion of the Pod Planters
Pod Planters from Pad Outdoors are beautiful, brightly colored, and handspun from aluminum in LA. Eco-bonus: they're recyclable.

I don't know about you, but I know a hot pod when I see one.
Fresh from Silverlake, Los Angeles-based Pad Outdoors
(the folks behind the buzzy Brass Knuckle Mug
) comes Pod Planters
— powder-coated, handspun aluminum planters that are appropriate for both indoors and out. They're also fully recyclable. These big-sized beauties made quite a splash at this year's Dwell on Design
and rightfully so.
The six available colors — orange, red, yellow sea green, brown, and white — are commanding but not totally overwhelming and the two different styles are stylish yet simple. Optional stands in two different heights are also available (just make sure your thirsty pooch doesn't get confused).
Pod Planters are available at a couple of stores in LA, including the fabulous Heath Ceramics
, and online they're available at A+R Store
, one of my favorite home design destinations.
