With his Lloyd Christmas hairdo, greasy sheen, white tube socks, and creepily invasive “let’s be friends” demeanor, Rip the Drip is the stuff nightmares are made of. So watch out residential water-wasters, Rip is on the prowl for new buddies …

The uncanny face of a new cringe-y residential water conservation campaign from Bosch, Kohler, Lowe’s, and P&G; called Wasting Water is Weird, Rip has starred in three different equally disturbing PSAs, all embedded below for your viewing pleasure terror. Thanks to Rip, you might think twice about indulging in those long, luxurious showers …

After having a good laugh/scare/shudder (big props to Shelton Group) be sure to head on over to the Wasting Water is Weird website where you can take a water conservation quiz, pick up some H2O-saving tips and tricks, and officially meet Rip – he “was born under the water sign Pisces, and is an assistant shift manager at a local water park.” And for excellent, summer-specific advice on how to avoid an awkward moment with Rip during the peak water usage season, head on over to the EPA’s WaterSense site. I should also point out that Rip has his own Facebook page. I'm sure he'd be thrilled to pieces if you checked out his vacation photos.
