Spa day: Hiber-Nation '13
With springtime finally in sight, it's time to start thinking about dusting away the cosmetic cobwebs of winter with the help of at-home spa goodies ... vegan bubble bath and organic body scrub included.

A very happy Monday and welcome to the eighth and final installment of Hiber-Nation '13, a special series of posts highlighting home accessories and other odds and ends geared to make housebound-in-the-winter life a bit more bearable.

Before I get to today's featured products — as you've probably gathered, they revolve around retreating to the loo for a bit of precious "me" time — let's quickly review the cabin fever-busting goodies I've featured over the previous weeks: Hoodies (for lookin' good while cranking down the thermostat), coat racks and hooks (for keeping piles of winter outerwear in check), indoor gardening kits (for keeping active greenthumbs busy) mostly old-fashioned diversions (crafts! cross stitch sets!), pet toys (because Princess Muffinbuns can get restless, too), home design and gardening books (compulsory), and throw blankets (don't stay home without one).

While all of the above items make for ideal gifts for seasonal shut-ins and can come in handy on days when the weather is too godawful to leave the house, there's nothing quite like an indulgent, bathtub-centric pampering session to lift the spirits, sooth dry winter skin, and simply unwind. Also: to make yourself more presentable for the warmer months when wearing a balaclava to the office just isn't an feasible option. Instead of splurging on spendy spa treatments, consider the below at-home bath products.

What about any homemade lotions and potions that help you unwind on a cold winter's day? Tell me about them in the comments section!
