Still on the prowl for useful stocking stuffers, thoughtful-but-last-minute prezzies, and top-quality secret Santa loot? Affordable gifts for your dog walker, doorman, hairdresser cubicle mate, or parole officer? Stop panicking and breath deeply — I’ve got you covered. All this week, I’ll be running “Stuff this," a series of down-to-the-wire holiday gift ideas for the recipients on your list that you haven’t quite fully crossed off.
First up to bat are Charity Mugs from West Elm. Perfect for the humanitarian coffee guzzler in your life, 50 percent from the sale of each $10 mug directly benefits seven different top-notch charities: the ASPCA, Architecture for Humanity, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Heifer International, and St. Jude Children's Reseach Hospital. The dishwasher- and microwave-safe porcelain mugs, each sporting a lovely design that corresponds with the associated nonprofit group, appear to be hot sellers this season: all but the Architecture for Humanity and Boys & Girls Club designs appear to be sold out through West Elm’s online storefront. Still, I was at my local West Elm store in Brooklyn this past weekend and the full collection seemed to be in stock there so perhaps you’ll have luck at your local West Elm location as well.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s “Stuff this” where the featured stocking stuffer will be energy-efficient light bulbs from Sylvania.
