Sure, a nursery's walls are supposed to be cute but be careful not to go overboard. Decorate with design-forward, eco-friendly posters and prints that aren't overly cloying.

Welcome to the fourth installment of “The green crib,” a new series of posts where I focus on a single room in the home where an adult’s good green influence — and decorating sense — will ideally rub off on said room’s primary inhabitant: a little one.
So far, I've highlight eye-catching mobiles
, earth- and baby-safe nursery cleaners
, and organic cotton quilts and blankets for baby. Today the focus is on eco-chic nursery wall art, specifically posters, prints, and panels that are handcrafted with environmentally sound materials like recycled paper and water-based inks. While the 10 selections below can certainly be considered cute — baby animals abound! — they aren't overly cutesy to the point where it appears that Mother Goose has thrown up all over the nursery walls. I mean really, just because it's your baby doesn't mean you shouldn't practice restraint when it comes to interior decor. If you're looking for nursery wallpaper and wall decals/stickers, hang tight ... I'll be covering those two items in an upcoming post. Up next week: low-impact night lights that are sure to keep the boogieman away.
