Ever hear the old tern:" Not worth a hill of beans"? It came from the time period when Soy Beans were not deemed safe for human consumption and were used as livestock feed. Estrogenic in nature it as well as plastics contribute to notable drops in western sperm counts. Some sources also point estrogenics to why our young girls are developing so much younger than generations ago. As living compost for field rotation it is good.

it's not healthy to eat soybeans anyway, it's much better to make fuel out of them.

Biofuel

There are a number of legitimately green biofuel sources, but many biofuels are unsustainable. Aside from the food vs. fuel debate — over biofuels produced from crops such as corn or soybeans — some biofuel sources are also the cause of deforestation and water shortages. For example, palm oil production for fuel increases greenhouse gas emissions through deforestation around the globe, especially in southeast Asia. Just because it's not a fossil fuel doesn't mean it's inherently green.
