Is there a place where can I bring my Christmas tree to recycle it?

If your town doesn't turn it's Christmas tree pick up into mulch, start a lobbying campaign to get that going. Our city uses Christmas tree mulch in the parks, medians and other public plantings. They also have green waste pick up days occasionally and use the appropiate bits to make mulch as well. When the amount mulched exceeds the city's needs, it is offered free to the public at specific times.

Turn it into mulch

If you have a yard, you can make use of it all year. Take your tree to a chipper and have it turned into mulch. Spread the mulch around your yard. It will help protect your soil from erosion, and the earthworms in your garden will love it. Some communities offer free chipping and free bags of mulch.

For more tree recycling information in your area, do a quick search on Earth911 (enter "Christmas trees" and your ZIP code).
