Cut and serve your food while saving forests with these cutting boards made from fallen trees.

If you live closer to Minnesota than you do to China (and we’re just guessing that many of you do), these fallen tree cutting boards—made from fallen (not chopped) Minnesota hardwood trees—are probably going to be a greener cutting board choice for you than a bamboo one would be. Prop the board up on your kitchen counter, or even use it as a platter to serve cheese and crackers at a cocktail party; the visible rings and bark left on the outer rim of the circular board make for a rugged, authentic American look. Choose from gorgeous cherry, ash, or maple wood—sealed to protect your food and keep the wood from wearing down. Boards are about 12 inches in diameter, and a set of 6 coasters is also available for sale at Show Lifestyle. Prices range from $30 to $40.
