It is interesting to see the variations in the food habits of different states in USA. There seems to be no similarity in the local foods in various states; however, it understandable. MNN has done wonderful job in bringing out local foods menu. Organic farmers should be in a position to meet the demands of the public.

its' good for the economy as well by supporting local agriculture business. Why should we ship in, say, potatoes from Brazil or soybeans from China when most states already grow them.
I'm disappointed that the Kansas recipe contains apples, which are not yet in season here. I'm participating in the Food Independence Day Challenge. I'm going to post my menu later today at www.LovingNaturesGarden.com.
