Look ma, no ladder!: A peddle-powered treehouse elevator [Video]
Tired of 'climbing a ladder six and a half million times a day,' ingenious Idahoan Ethan Schlussler creates a DIY bicycle elevator that enables him to ascend and descend nearly 30-feet to his hand-built treehouse.

Up, up, and away!
Also, it goes without saying: Don't try this one at home, kiddos. (I'm a touch surprised that like any good cyclist, Schlussler isn't wearing a helmet as he peddles his way way up into the forest canopy). And by the way, that big black mass of fur that can be seen prowling around on the forest floor in the video is a dog, not a bear, as Schlussler points out. But if it was a bear, I really can't image a better emergency exit that hopping on a treehouse bike elevator.
