The tallest building in America?
The sun sets on Nov. 8 as the Empire State Building and the One World Trade Center loom over the Manhattan skyline.
A team of expert architects for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat are deciding whether the One World Trade Center, which towers at 1,776 feet, is taller than Chicago's 1,451-foot Willis Tower. At issue is whether the 408-foot needle atop the One World Trade is an antennae or a spire, as antennae are generally not counted in a building's height while spires are.
