In celebration of its upcoming Feb. 10 release on Blu-ray and Disney Movies Anywhere, here's an exclusive look at the animal action behind the scenes of "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."
Starring Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner, the film is based on the beloved book of the same name and follows the unfortunate series of events that plagues both Alexander and his family over the course of a single day. You can check out one of those terrible, no-good moments — which required the participation of both human and reptilian actors — in the video above.
"Working with animals, the main thing is — especially on a film — it's about making sure the animal doesn't get hurt and making sure the crew and trainers don't get hurt," says animal trainer Karl Brianmiller. "It's definitely something that demands respect."
