If you look carefully at this flock of yellow-headed blackbirds in flight at Merced National Wildlife Refuge, you'll notice one that seems to stand out from the crowd. Can you spot the bird and name the species?
Photographer Donald Quintana notes of the sighting: "This was the first time I had seen such a large flock of Yellow-headed Blackbirds. Usually I had seen one or to [sic] intermixed with Red-winged Blackbirds or I see a mélange of Starlings, Red-wing, Yellow-headed, and Brewers Blackbirds murmuring about the refuge in large numbers. So, this was an exceptional sighting in my books. I counted roughly about 160 in this flock."
