This weasel's name changes with the seasons

There aren't many species whose names change with the seasons. But the weasel, or stoat, is one of them. During spring summer and fall, the species sports a brown and cream coat. In the winter, however, its coat changes color to a pure, snowy white. With that color change comes a name change. In the winter months, the species is known as the ermine. So if you happen to see one bounding around this winter, you know what to call it!
