Great orange tip caterpillars

Some caterpillars, like the great orange tip butterfly larva pictured here, mimic snakes to ward off predators. It's not uncommon for a caterpillar's markings to look remarkably similar to those of a snake, and some caterpillars even have an organ called an osmeterium that sticks out like a snake's tongue and emits a strong odor.
