Rare New York sight

A large chunk of the New York City skyline sits in darkness on Oct. 30 after power was knocked out by Hurricane Sandy on Monday night.

Several million customers in 15 states are still without power thanks to the massive storm, which has killed more than 100 people from Haiti to Canada. New Yorkers should expect to wait several days to a week before the blackout is resolved, says the city's main power provider, Con Edison.
