I found it on reddit and haven't been able to track down who did it. TinEye turns up just one link and it doesn't have a credit.

Any idea whose work this is?

To be fair, we can't see how long the stairs are and according to redditer ShrimpCrackers, the escalator is in Kaohsiung, Taiwan is a lot faster than the ones we have here and that the stairs are really long.

But still. It's funny.

If those stairs had a piano the traffic flow would be reversed.
