Earlier this week I wrote about a new design in wind turbines that claims to be 3-4 times more efficient than traditional three prop turbines.

Jetson Green has news and video of a cool new Honeywell turbine that will be available from select Ace Hardware stores next month. The WindTronics TW6500 is designed to be installable by homeowners though it will require a professional electrician to fully hook up.

The turbine is supposed to work in wind speeds from 2 to 40 mph and will cost $5,995 on top of a thousand or two in installation costs.
