Another coal plant down!

Nevada based NV Energy is postponing plans to build a 1,500-megawatt coal fired power plant (via the Sierra Club). NV Energy CEO Michael Yackira said that they will get the project back under way when clean coal technology is affordable for utilities.

Which means the power plant is dead, it will never be built. "Clean coal" is a myth and capturing CO2 will never be anything near affordable. Every dollar we spend researching the terrible idea is a wasted buck.
