Virginia McLaurin, a 106-year-old woman who resides in Washington, D.C., started a social media campaign in 2014 to meet the President Obama. There was a YouTube video and a White House petition. Two years later, McLaurin's wish to meet Obama was realized.

The South Carolina-native said it was "an honor" to meet Obama, and when he asked if she'd like to meet first lady Michelle Obama, McLaurin started walking so quickly that Obama, seemingly amused, said "Slow down now. Don't go too quick!" After a few words, McLaurin and Michelle Obama began to dance a little bit, with Mrs. Obama remarking, "I wanna be like you when I grow up."

McLaurin, who has lived through 18 different presidents, was at the White House to attend a Black History Month celebration.
