Collision leaves Jupiter bruised

Taken on July 23, this picture is the first natural-color image taken of Jupiter captured with Hubble's new Wide Field Camera 3. The dark bruise at the bottom right of the planet is a scar from a comet or asteroid that hit Jupiter's atmosphere and disintegrated.
