Luck and planning create the world's best photographs
To put it as mildly as possible, it is difficult to get a photograph of a rainbow landing on the narrow point of a narrow rock spire standing alone in the middle of a canyon. And yet here it is, a potentially once-in-a-lifetime chance for this photographer tsaiproject, who writes, "I saved this spot for the end of the day hoping to catch Spider Rock under the spot light of sunset, despite a dubious weather forecast. As it turned out, the anticipated thundershowers worked in my favour."
Indeed it did! Spider Rock, one of the iconic figures inside Canyon de Chelly National Monument, looks as if there is a little bit of magic shining right out of its heart.
