Once plentiful throughout Asia, tigers have fallen prey to habitat loss and illegal trade for their skin, bones, meat and various tonics. Only 4,000 are estimated to be left in the wild. The biggest issue facing tigers is lack of space, which is where conservation groups are focusing their efforts.
