Olympic National Park

From the rugged Pacific Coast beaches to the lush rain forest, this park in Washington state offers enough opportunities for exploration to last a lifetime. Much of Olympic National Park remains wild and unvisited because it contains few major roads in the interior. In fact, about 95 percent of the park is designated as a wilderness area. Backpacking along the beach is a popular activity because the length of the coastline is perfect for multi-day trips.
