Rich history at Fort Cronkhite

The Marin Headlands was part of the military history of the bay area. This is Fort Cronkhite, which was a WWII military post, and it is the best preserved of these posts in the area. During the war, this fort housed Coast Artillery soldiers who were to protect San Francisco Bay from enemy attack.
