Foggy elks

Much of the year, especially during the summer, visitors will find that fog blankets the hills of Point Reyes and lasts into the late morning and sometimes all day. Though you can't see as far, the mystery and quiet that the fog adds makes walking trails every bit as enjoyable as on a clear day. You will still be able to spot wildlife, such as these tule elk living on the Tule Elk preserve.
