Laurel Falls

Laurel Falls in the Tennessee portion of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most popular falls in the park, which boasts at least a dozen. The park has perfect waterfall conditions, which are twofold — elevation gradient (rain travels over a mile in elevation from the tops of mountains to the foothills — all within the park boundaries) and ample rainfall. Laurel Falls is an iconic example of the falls in the Smokies and is one of the park's most popular attractions.
