The great green Hollywood baby boom of 2011 has come to an end — with celebrities like Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone, Marion Cotillard, Jessica Alba and now Alyssa Milano all welcoming new little ones into the world.

That list is particularly impressive when you count the fact that all of these ladies have strong ties to the environment and sustainable living.

Milano, 38, gave birth to Milo Thomas Bugliari Wednesday morning, writing on her Twitter page: "My heart has tripled in size. I love him more than all the leaves on all the trees."

"Thank you for all the well wishes for my son Milo," she added.

Both the actress and her husband David are adamant about embracing a green lifestyle. Late last year, she  explained to Celebrity Baby Scoop that her efforts to live a more sustainable life had something to do with being a good role model for her future children.

"After the oil spill, I had this strong feeling that if I ever were to be blessed in having children, I never wanted my kids to see me pumping gas at a gas station," she said. "I think it's our responsibility to make the changes that we need to take regardless of convenience. I know it's more inconvenient to have an electric car, but I'll do what I have to do. I'm also a vegetarian. I have five dogs and 10 horses and about 90 percent of them are rescues."

Congrats to the new family!
