Distorted perceptions of beauty
Teaching kids the truth about natural beauty.
I remember seeing this commercial when it came out a few years ago, but it suddenly has new meaning for me now that my two daughters are reaching the age where they are paying closer attention to their looks. Actually, this whole concept of "beauty" came along earlier than I expected. My eldest is only 6 years old, so you can imagine my surprise when she announced the other day that her hair looked ugly. I plan to nip that perception in the bud by showing my daughters this video and reminding them that real beauty comes from within.
