On July 20, we will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing - the first time that a human being took a step on the moon. To mark the occasion of that 'small step for man and giant leap for mankind,' we thought it would be fun to think ahead to a day when (if?) humans will be living on the moon.

How much would it cost to get there?  How much would housing cost?  And what about food...or more importantly, air?

No matter how you slice it, it looks like the cost of living on the moon might be prohibitive for some time to come.  I don't know about you, but even the bargain price of $16 billion is way out of my league.

But who knows, tomorrow's latest, greatest invention may just change everything and make moon travel like a walk in the park.

For now, I think I'll just settle for a shout out to Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and maybe some extra special moon gazing.

Moon taxi, anyone?

How much would it cost to live on the moon?
It's been 45 years since humans walked on the moon. How long will it be until we are living there? Maybe quite a while at these prices.
