Got a teen or tween who is interested in going green? Mark your calendar for Teens Turning Green 5th Annual TTG National Teen Summit on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5-6 at Marin Academy in San Rafael, Calif.  Teens Turning Green is a national movement of teens that doesn't just sit around and wait for the world to get greener, they are actively working on making it a greener, healthier place to live. One of the primary goals of Teens Turning Green is to eliminate toxic exposures that threaten our health and the environment. The movement focuses on exposures in daily life, on school campuses and in local communities. Teens advocate for policy change and educate peers and communities about healthy habits.

The Teens Turning Green summit will take place from Feb. 5-6, 2010, at Marin Academy (1600 Mission Avenue). Adam Werbach, CEO Saatchi & Saatchi, will keynote the event, joined by panelists Stacy Malkan, co-founder National Campaign for Safe Cosmetics; Karen Stewart Brown, Stewart & Brown co-founder; Summer Rayne Oakes, model, author, and activist, and other leading fashion, beauty, and other leading industry professionals.  Students, teachers, and community members are invited to join together for two days of panel dialogues, interactive workshops, strategic planning and group discussions with environmental leaders to educate, inspire, and activate change.
