Ah, summer. A time for lounging by the pool, eating your weight in watermelon and, of course, frolicking in sprinklers!

While sprinklers offer loads of fun for small children, dogs are also big fans of these refreshing irrigation devices. They can entertain themselves for what seems like hours.

Of course, it's important to exercise caution and vigilance when allowing your pup to play with sprinklers. While some dogs are content to prance around in the spray, others may be more interested in chewing on or digging up the spigots.

Having a broken sprinkler is annoying, but it can also be dangerous if dogs break off small pieces and swallow them. That's why you should never leave your pet unsupervised while a sprinkler is running.

And besides, why would you want to leave them alone at all when you can observe and record their giggle-worthy reactions on video, like the ones below:

Even if you don't have sprinklers running in your yard, there are plenty of public parks that are equipped with automatic sprinkler systems. So the next time you take your pup to the dog park, have a little fun if you notice a sprinkler running.

Ok, you really need to prepare yourself for this one. This gaggle of golden retriever pups playing with a sprinkler is likely the cutest thing you will see all day. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Corgis are notorious for their effervescent charm and short-legged gait, so when you add a sprinkler into the mix, it's almost too adorable to bear. In this video, a corgi floof named Waffles plays with a Banzai Wiggling Water Sprinkler alongside some little humans.

Sure, this technically isn't a sprinkler, but who can resist this dog's epic gobble face?

Unlike other rambunctious pups who have no qualms about flinging themselves headlong into the spray of a sprinkler, Bentley the bulldog prefers to take a more cautious approach. While he isn't quite sure what to make of it at first, it isn't long before he gains the courage to inspect and examine the strange backyard contraption.

What's better than a sprinkler? An entire field of sprinklers!

In this video, a little pitbull puppy discovers a sprinkler for the first time and just cannot get enough of it! After curiously inspecting it for a little bit, he then plops down right in the middle of it and goes to town.

In this slo-mo video, these dogs are taking mouthfuls of water as they perform in a type of lovely synchronized ballet. Some are much more successful than others.
