Thank goodness for the heartwarming stories in the news to offset the sad ones – and this is one of the feel-good ones.
We like the uplifting stories about strangers helping strangers celebrate the holidays and volunteers going the extra mile to help those in need. And then there's this one, which might just make you cry — in a good way of course — and it could be the feel-good story of the year. You decide.
In it, we find Tom Mabe of Mabe in America fame in an episode of "Prank it FWD." On this show, Mabe and other hosts perform "pranks of kindness" on unsuspecting participants. Usually, "Prank it FWD" focuses on human prankees — such as the veteran who got a special surprise from first lady Michelle Obama or the housekeeper who got a new house of her own. But the video above is unique because the stars are not people in need at all. They're doggies — stray dogs, to be precise, at the Kentucky Humane Society.
Mabe and his team convince the animal shelter staff that they are there to donate a few items, but I don't think anyone expects what they really have in mind. I won't spoil it for you, but if you haven't watched it yet, click away. You'll want to adopt every single dog by the end of the show. It's well worth your time in feel-good therapy for the day.
