If your pet struggles with weight issues, online tools can help keep you motivated to maintain healthier choices. Hill's pet food company has launched a virtual weight management center that includes fitness tips, an interactive diary and weight loss success stories. Actress Alison Sweeney, host of “The Biggest Loser,” leads the campaign, offering pet workout tips, videos and Facebook chats about her Boston terrier’s battle of the bulge.

“The biggest challenge was not knowing that she had a weight problem — and that it was serious,” Sweeney says. “I just needed to learn those lessons. I had to learn that people scraps were not good, and to keep her on an exercise routine. Working out together were some of the best changes.”
